Swedish/Danish silversmith Wiwen Nilsson.

Wiwen Nilsson.

Ive gone totally mad about this silversmiths designs! I will probably never own anything by him myself, but a girl can dream!
He started his carrier at the age of 16 working for his dad as an apprentice.
The first time he showed his work was in 1923, but he got really bad criticism and wouldnt get his break through until 1930 when Europe was ready for his modernistic design.

  2. Greetings from Sweden and a fellow Wiwen Nilsson admirer! Wiwen created jewelry and silver pieces from the 1920's until his death in 1974. Once you have been bitten by the Wiwen Nilsson bug, the only cure is to buy yourself some of his jewelry. I recommend you start with a crystal ring or bracelet from the 1930's which exemplifies his ground-breaking modernistic/geometric designs. Lycka till! (Good luck!)
